Fox has axed the animated series Allen Gregory. According to sources, the president of the network entertainment, Kevin Reilly, said that other Fox shows like Terra Nova, House, and Fringe will have their futures reconsidered. He made the announcement on January 9 at the Television Critics Association’s press. He also confirmed that Fox will no longer be producing any more Allen Gregory.
The show was co-created by Andrew Mogel, Jonah Hill, and Jarrad Paul. It was premiered last October, but it received a lot of bad reviews and not a lot of viewers. In the same session, Reilly said that the decision on the probability of future seasons in delayed and that a spinoff series was highly unlikely, since the time has pass. The creator David Chore hasn’t found something that could entertain him to his highest standards. The executive also mentioned that Fringe has been a costly production. He won’t be afraid to cancel it in favor of other shows. However, more decisions have yet to be made before everything becomes finalized. Reilly also added that he didn’t expect the fourth season of Fringe to gain any new viewers in all likelihood.
